Because the manager for next year is in place and working with the "football manager" player selector.

I simply can not justify Warnsey getting the job next season. If most of the squad want him then that's one hell of a reason NOT to give him the jon!

Listening to Antonio Conte and big Sams comments regarding the players input in the "thinkermans" sacking - their said:

Conte: The players should never guide the club about the choice - working of a manager NEVER - "It means the club is weak"

Sam: The players arn't as qualified as I am - I know more than they do about football - systems / tactics mean nothing unless the players listen and perform to the best of their abilities.

Both are spot on - so going forward let the players be players and manage the club from the top down.

I think Rotherham United has suffered greatly from player power this season - so much so that it's cost our place in the championship.

Spare the rod and spoil the player !
Wow, I actually agree with that lbj.
I think I'd better take another tablet 😉

I will have one of your tablets as well lbj.
I don't doubt he's on the ball & yes he's not cabbage green.
He knew very little about football and yes he still is learning, not as quickly as I would like.
He soon found out that players agents are not easy to deal with, they tout player's off to other clubs for obvious reasons.
It's how you deal with player power that matters.
We can't keep employing managers and sacking them a few months down the line regardless whether it's a results based industry or not.
Can I have another one of your tablets lbj....

    Casper,
I'm not too sure if Warne will be the manager next season.

The computer is detailing the potential signings for next season and will be doing so for every transfer window. All clubs will invest in the same tech soon so we'll be back on an even footing but without the funds or the infastructure to compete.

lbj. I know I'm not highly educated and often have to read things twice but no matter how many times I read this it doesn't make sense.

Are you saying that a manager needs his own players?
Are you saying that a manager from which ever club can't work with the clubs existing players?
Is that the name of the computer programme RUFC have bought?
Why can't you justify Warney getting the job? Have you any influence in the decission?

    Back on subject,

    Sol Cambell as our manager?

Why not? Would he be able to work with a small budget? Would he be as influential as we all would hope?

Not all good players who have reached the levels he has generally have the influence we as supporters believe they would. It's usually managers that can go into the club they have left and tap up the players that they've already managed who have influence.

    Frog:

    Yes
Yes - if fit for purpose
    No idea
    Not a manager
    No

Everyone has to start somewhere so Sol can start somewhere else. AS has a building job on his CV and coaching at Everton under a good manager. He was just what we wanted - in theory !

It didn't work out for many reasons but now we're talking about another appointment ! AS was a football guy and we should now be discussing his first window.

We no have the same problem !

We will never find "THE RIGHT MAN" to suit everyone and particularly the right man to do our specific job!

The only thing is to identify the potential downfall of every candidates and eliminate them until we get a safe pair of hands.

    That'll be like buying a volvo !

Steady would do for me right now - Sol is high risk and Warnsey isn't a manager !

I know all that. Unfortunatelly it didn't work out for AS. Every Miller would have loved success under him as we would any other manager. I really don't want to talk about him anymore apart from in reference to a situation. He's a part of Rotherham Uniteds history.
