I have to say I'm a little disappointed we couldn't get our hands on other peoples money and spend it building our socialist utopia .

Maybe we could have the opportunity in the autumn again , five years of the aspirational's money , wow , arthur would love that in his later years , maybe he could pay for a new headstone on the witches grave , ' he who laughs last ' scribed into the stone .

    Laters comrades .

I've got no political alliance but I just think it's embarrassing that labour see it as a victory.

Yes done better than expected but your expectations were abysmal so it really doesn't say much.
May is appalling and yet still finished way above labour.

I'll drop this now cause it's like talking to cult followers not really sure why following a guy who couldn't defeat a terrible candidate but just happy Not to be terrible.

Just can't understand the big celebration for finishing way behind anothe terrible party.

Like I said it's like cult followers in denial.

You're right there Yak to be fair - our expectations were abysmal - I fully expected to be buried with a tory majority - the biggest problem we've had in the last two years is belief in Corbyn. I liked him from his pitch for leader, but have had to put up with 2 years of 'he's a terrorist', 'he's crap' and much of this was within our own party!

For the first time last night we had an actual confirmation that all the rallies, the policies, the things that even though we feel that they are right, still doubted as being 'loony left' actually connected with large masses of people, most of whom had only noticed he was there in the last 4 weeks. From nothing to a real force, winning seats and yanking the establishment back on their heels.

It's just the beginning, that's the point. And the Tories are badly wounded, divided and desperate. DUP ffs - they're women haters, creationists and anti LGBT - all the things that many on here say that they hate about ISIS. That IS very desperate.

And yes, lots of us on the left are very happy with that.

I like Corbyn`s way of thinking. I fully expect Warney to hold a victory speech after we have lost by the odd 57 or so and call for the opposition manager to resign, even if it is our third consecutive defeat. Guess I had better start composing my apology to Stubbs for slagging him off after all those defeats which were really victories because of the way we played the game.

Is this like LBJ saying we were great Vs Newcastle cos we only lost 1,0?
