In defence of this forum

my take is that i am not too happy with posters coming on here from other clubs- this is a site for Burnley fans to talk about their club Burnley and is not a general football forum . Their are plenty of them out there but this is a Burnley FC site or it would not be called The Turfites- not a great choice of name but there you have it.

I quite like other fans coming on here, it just adds to the fun and makes us different to other forums.. I post on the leeds forum sometimes and get some stick,but in the whole they are ok. Just my opinion.. I wish Saxo would post on here as he is always ripe for a good dry bumming.

the forum is deteriorating into insults and so called clever cheeky sideswipes insulting each other fans and teams- not much football talk- great

I've been posting on other fans forums for years and generally have no problems,the thing is to remember that when you go onto another forum its like going into someone's home,you have to respect their rules and try to fit in and after all if we all stuck to our own forums what would Alf do with all of his spare time?

Thanks for the praise in your opening post Donz, its appreciated but not needed as it's all a joint effort which we all chip in with our various and sometimes off the wall subjects.

We all have our likes and dislikes, like someone has said if they don't like a certain subject they don't bother to read the thread and I'm usually the same, just like the Word of the Day and On this day threads I do, some may find them interesting and some may say they are a waste of time, its just really to keep the board ticking over, if you want to comment on them that's fine, if not then don't.

Its a Burnley Football Forum, but surely any News of the day on any subject has to be spoken about and given personal views on ?
