And your still thrashing out the jokes even now, at 85, eh SB.
I always loved my hornby train sets and scalextric racing cars, and matchbox cars as well.
But I never owned a Mr Potato head.

Think gambling was ingrained in me from an early age

The secret is to get the tension on the winning post end elastic band just right
Keep adjusting it & winding crank handle to test it & get it right
Give it a go Ponte & let me know
Must admit the horses made of lead work best

Better than a trip to the Ebor

Action man had to have a parachute to carry any credibility around these parts .

Launched out of the bedroom window and hoping to catch fair wind in order to avoid the prickly roses .

Hooking him off rose bushes in 1970's shorts was painful and a torn parachute was a tragedy .

Not a toy or a game but a great memory .

Cold dark winter nights and difficult to play football in 1970's Darton , no state of the art astroturf floodlite facility for us back then .

The mega powered street light in Darton car park which lite up to a respectable level .

Two a side kicking into one goal , mesh between two concrete posts that provided a four foot fence .

Big lump jezza in goal and subject to much abuse if he let a soft un in .

First to 21 , games were tight and hard fought and we had to stop now and again for the odd Austin Allegro to turn round .

Big arguments after and revenge sought the next night .

Didn't know it at the time but those games made me a half decent player in later years , pass and move , one - two's , shooting into small goals and fit as a butchers dog .

Great times and best coaching tha could get wiart even knowing it .
