I’ve no idea abaaht attendances Rodney. Like I pointed out, I’ve ony been half a dozen times since my dear old Dad used to take me but I’ve got some great memories as a kid.. that you’ve done your best to purge.

Look I’ll tell you what, if it’s upset you so much, I ask one of the lads to transfer this thread but only if you promise to stop posting misleading news headlines, posting about other sports (bar the cricket thread), and starting crap threads about people who nobody’s really interested in like the 1970’s **** star/magnet on on the FOOTBALL section. Deal?

As for knitting, my Mam always did the knitting after she’d finished the ironing, I just thought you’d do the same. It’s no wonder tha’ gets TT’s back up, I’ll be glad when he’s back and ya can get back his case again ya argumentative old buuggar. UTCB

And you think I’m being serious? Ya should know me by now Rod, if we we sat together at the match you’d wet ya sen laughing or thump me. My lads usually thump me.

Crown green is STILL on my list to try again now I’m over 40, but I really think we should have a splodging thread. Britain’s number ONE participant sport. Would that be ok with you? Unfortunately there’s only Sabellalex and me really into it now Chings has left, but maybe we could get a few more interested. Has tha ever fancied dangling a maggot on a wet weekend? UTCB

I have played crown green a bit as a kid Shoreham down at Gleadless town end. Back then it wasn’t so much seen as an old man’s sport and me and my mates used to have a throw when we weren’t kicking a ball on to football pitches just up from the greens.

I love watching it on the box, I’ll probably get around to it mate before I’m too old.

I actually meant to say Gleadlless Church Shoreham so it’d be the same greens you play on now.

I played on the football pitches there as well and my claim to fame is that I kicked Dave Berry into touch in a close season kick about. He knew all there was to know abaaht the crying game.

Looks like a Flanagan and Allan tribute act is starting up.
