Speaking of people being released, I don't think it's been mentioned on here yet but Guy Branston parted company with Chesterfield last week. So that's two clubs he's been relegated from L1 with and then departed soon afterwards.

To be closer to his family in the North East
Nottingham is closer to the North-East than Gloucester, perhaps Mr. Hardy could ask him to step into the office as he passes by? A cup of tea and a chat?

I would like to see Notts offer him a contract till the end of this season to see if Noble can fit in with the squad and Nolan can sort out any disciplinary problems

I'd like to see Notts stay away from him, we don't need him nor do we want his attitude. He's been given countless opportunities to change his ways so why would we give him another chance?

Because THIS manager has shown what he can do with players we all thought would get us relegated. He must also have had conversations with AH about Noble, but now it would seem that AH is no longer interested.

Grant doesn't play centre mid (thank god, it'd be like Burke there all over again) so that's him ruled out of your argument and Yates can't seem to pass a parcel let alone the ball to a team mate so I'd say at the moment Milsom > Hewitt > Yates > (Thompson?) If we wanted a more attacking pair in the middle then Noble would slot in to those rankings as our second choice midfielder after Milsom imo.

Not to be harsh on Yates, I think he's a good player but his passing is woeful and I've probably seen him put in more dangerous tackles so far this season than most of the things Noble got sent off for in his time with us (excluding the ridiculous one where he just kicked that player running past him). Noble's reputation didn't help him with a lot of his bookings/reds imo but in the conference he got sent off 0 times.
