There are a fair number of people from there who still think it's 1984, despite the town centre resembling Mogadishu these days.

Great fire I’m not sure where you live but you don’t seem to have a good word to say about Rotherham and now Barnsley it seems?

I’ve travelled all over the world and met good and bad people in my travels.
I’m proud to be from Rotherham irrespective of people like you who don’t have a good word to say about it. Honestly if your that embarrassed about where you come from then your weak in my opinion and I pity you.
Growing up in my town is what made me and I carry the manners and principles my mum gave me.
I’ve moved back to my town now and honestly im proud to bring up my kids here.
I’m guessing you don’t live in Rotherham now which is a blessing for us I guess.
If you do and you don’t like it then move.

My sentiments exactly, Rotherham has gone through some shyte in the past and recently, but i still believe Rotherham folk are a very honest and down to earth bunch as a whole and i wouldn't have it any other way.

So going by your own reconstructed definition of right and left wing, where would you place someone like Tony Benn, who I believe was a traditional socialist who hated the EU and wanted UK self determination and therefore border control to protect UK jobs from the inevitable under cutting that was always going to happen with a deregulated capitalist Establishment of the last 40 years?

I do live in Rotherham just not in the centre.

Centre of Barnsley is equally horrible now, run down, covered in graffiti, high number of asylum seekers.

Our politicians at a local and national level are responsible, am I supposed to praise them and the mess they've made?

Socialist Workers Party supported Brexit as well, Old Labour always were anti-EEC, Corbyn was as well until recently but Labour sold out to the globalists just like the Tory leadership.
