okay, my next question for everyone is:

if you were asked at work to wear a rainbow overall, or rainbow tie (for office workers) or a rainbow badge etc what would you say?

Im not sure how this "hijacked football" or. spoiled the day for anybody. In fact I had forgotten about it and didn't even notice the travesty of the different corner flags, laces or anything else. Neither did any of my mates. I didn't hear anybody around me mention it. Nobody I spoke to at half time or full time mentioned it. On here though it's a big deal. Something for narrow minded dinosaurs to moan about.

Your anger is because you are an old style socialist, , but you have been taken in by the middle-class socialists, who have made identity politics the major issue. Once upon a time Roly the socialism you both believed in was a genuine threat to the establishment but the establishment were one step ahead and all of a sudden the old left was inundated with people talking about gender and ***uality. Now I have a theory that this was encouraged by the establishment, because it created divisions in a movement that had revolutionary potential.

20 years later Socialism is absolutely toothless and no threat at all to the establishment, there are now hundreds of different factions in the left......the chance the workers had has gone and been replaced by "Rainbow Laces" ad "kick it out". Leon Trotsky would be turning in his grave. Rather than admit your mistake Roly and return to genuine revolutionary principles you get hot under the collar about LGBT issues on the internet.

I would argue that the reaching out to different downtrodden groups of people by Marxists would help grow a larger revolutionary movement not weaken it. And the ones who need to toughen up on here are the ones who start rooring when they see a 30 second video, which they could quite easily have missed by the way, at a football match.

Also you need to amend your last sentence to:"if any of my posts have upset the lgbt community, as a believer in christianity, I need to apologise because jesus would not have come out with stuff like that". Then again you are right, I have been stitched up, you aren't a christan at all are you?

You must really read up on a bit of Marxism by the way so you can at least make some informed comment on revolutions and stuff.
