I don't get why prats like you constantly blame Steven T for all the shlte yer in? I blame his Auld Man but you fannys adore everything about him ?
ET took over with a small debt but he left his son with a massive debt ?
ET named a stand after himself that was paid by the sale of Duncan Ferguson to the Huns that Jim McLean made happen ?
ET never achieved zilch under his stewardship, but his son and McLean did ?

So explain this bizarre love affair ?

shame he couldn't achieve anything which didn't involve sticking it up the big team.

I think I'm correct in saying you and 95% of united fans these days wouldn't be 'sheds' if mclean was successful at Dens rather than at 5 stands. You'd be sheep

Who knows Taints. Is it not success (at some time) that attracts most fans to a particular Club. For myself I became a Shed in 1971 after a year or two of growing attraction. Back then all I knew was Jerry Kerr and a few Forfarshire Cup wins. Ten- nil at Tanny v Brechin in one round. That's what I was grounded in.

I think many Sheds under 50 would be Dees today if McLean had stayed at Dens and worked his magic, rather than Sheep. Blame the Dens Board of the day. They made the Dees suffer and handed prosperity to Tannadice on the plate.

William, it would be dishonest of me to reject your accusation of me being a Prat, but I never liked the United for Change movement from the beginning. Yes, Wee Jim was well past his sell by date and as stubborn as a mule, but considering what he did for the Club, it was shameful the way he was ousted from that which he loved most (after Doris). I am very much in the 'what goes around, comes around' camp when it comes to the Thompson regime. I have no dislike for anyone but for the sake of the Club I support, I would love to see the Thompson regime evacuated from Tannadice quicker than an involuntary bowel movement. I understand that for your purposes you would rather see the constipation continue?

There are some unexplainable bizarre affairs (love and otherwise) associated with Tannadice in recent years.

William, you're assumptions and perceptions are in need of adjustment. You include me along with those (whoever they are?) who thought Eddie did wonderful things? The ousting of Wee Jim in the manner it was done was disgraceful, even though his time was up. Eddie poured money into the Shed, some of it foolishly. He wore his Shed heart on his Shed sleeve but we are seeing the end result of United for Change today. I cannot speak for other Dundee Arab Boys, only myself, but while I recognise there were some plusses during Eddie's tenure (eg bringing Levein in and later Cup win, etc) it was a temporary facelift until ST adopted his infamous 5 year plan. Some of it was necessary, but some of it has resulted in us looking up to a struggling Dees side with some wishful thinking! As said earlier, 'what goes around, comes around!' We are in a far worse position today than we were during the worst of the Wee Jim years.
