TS "Flappin' ell!!! Ruddy misses a cross, carnage in the box and then he saves a decent shot with men on the line. One min left"

Thanks for all your information towards the end, 'bill......you're a bluddy champ, mate. Well, it's a win, so I should be happy, but I'll be much happier when we get a tad more clinical in front of goal. Goodnight, Wolfies !!!

I may be wrong but I think N'Diaye is ok for cards. Its Nevis and Sais that are treading the tightrope.

There's one thing Wolves have done after a defeat this season, and there hasn't been many is to win their next game. Many will look at the 1-0 scoreline and may think it was a close game, in my eyes there was only one side that created numerous chances throughout the game and it was Wolves.

John Ruddy probably made two decent saves all game and that's a credit to the players in front of him. Matt Doherty with the only goal of the game and he gets through so much work, up and down the Wolves right hand side to link up play. On another day we could have won the game by an even greater score, but if the 1-0 was offered to me before the game i would've accepted it, it's still three points and now it's up to the other sides to try and close the gap again in midweek.

The pitch wasn't the greatest, but it was the same for both sides, Wolves continued to play their passing game, backed up by the physical presence of Alfred N'Diaye, he has a lot to his game, not just breaking up play. Ipswich, to be fair to them did try and pass the ball out from the back and into midfield, but after that it was always a long ball forward which the wolves defence dealt with pretty well.

The second half wolves were happy to sit back deeper and invited Ipswich onto them. This allowed Wolves to hit them on the break, chances went a begging, Jota, Costa, Enobakhare and Bonatini all with ones that could have increased our lead.

I'm glad Wolves have proved again they can bounce back against a tough, hardworking Ipswich side.

No problem Wolfie, Nevis has already amassed five and had to miss the away match at Birmingham. Not the sort of player you would expect to get yellows.

A good summary of the game Gav. Following it from home, it certainly sounded as if we could and should have scored more. the pitch looked dreadfull, but as you say, the same for both sides. However, it does not help a team that like to play on the deck football.
