They also forget that the playoff system helps keep interest which helps keep fans interested in attending both home and away fans.

When we were last in the championship (seems such a long long time ago&#128521 there was little to keep supporters going unless it was nip and tuck at the top.

You imagine if there was no playoff place and the dabs were to lose one or both of their next away games, I doubt very much their crowd would be much or any bigger than ours when we were in the championship.

Their fans remind me of ours in late seventies trying to convince every bugger how big a club they are.....nobodies interested, nobody cares. You have to dig yourself out the **** and accept the reality of the situation before you can move forward.

A lot of their support still expect to turn over Morton, falkirk, livvy.....when in reality they are just as bang average as them.

Guaranteed Dundee fans were reminding United fans (don't think they were calling themselves Arabs till the 80s) about not winning a trophy, only one cup final in 65 years (with less than 3k united fans in attendance), sh1te crowds (35 united fans at Clydebank in the Premier League), when Dundee were in the 1st Division in the late 70s. Now it's full reversal and they're going on about winning a cup against a village team as though it's significant to their current position. Ah well

The championship is the weakest it's been for years,
That's why yiniteds crowds are higher, because they are winning every week,

    Ooooh, just a minute........!!!!

Without wanting to get into Shedka-esque crowd debates there is no doubt that your first sentence is spot on. The DABs have been sh*t lucky to be in the Championship in the play off era both from the keeping the crowd interested point of view and still being in with a chance of promotion when ending up 3rd like last season. For most of our time in the 'wilderness' it was win the league or bust. Nice to see that they are making the most of their fortune though.
