Yes he did, and no they don't.
I've just watched a recording of Wednesday night's MOTD, and there were over 20 chances just as easy as the one Barnes missed, some even easier, that PL strikers didn't put into the back of the net. Amongst those missing sitters besides Barnes were De Bruyne, who should have had a hat- trick, Pogba, Lingard, Son, Sturridge, Niasse, Iheanacho, Joselu (2), Richarlison, Shakira, Doucoure, Mane, and another half dozen or so besides. And they weren't particularly missing them for fun last night, if you watch MOTD any Saturday night you'll see PL strikers missing good chances in every game.
Some stats from Wednesday night, attempts on goal and goals scored,
Chelsea 21-0
Spurs 22-2
Burnley 11-1
Far more clinical than Chelsea and exactly the same ratio as Spurs, and we had another ruled out for a very minor infringement, and a blatant penalty refused. Our strikers do as well as any with the chances they get, it just happens that with the way we set up, they simply don't get that many.
Long has been fantastic all season.
From the the 60 minutes or so of the game I saw on the internet BT, Charlie Taylor looked to have a good game, what did you think ?
I think he is doing fine but if he would hit the cross early like Ward does, instead of trying to beat his man he would be doing really great.
However, for a young man playing his first season in the EPL he is doing brilliantly and yet still learning his trade. For the money we paid for him I think he is a brilliant acquisition.
To answer your specific question, he was excellent throughout the 90 minutes and was getting stronger as the game went on. Long had a blinder too!

Scored highest of all our players for 5 tackles and an assist for the goal. Pope close behind him
If we're still desperate for that striker we need, the one that doesn't miss sitters like Barnes does, maybe we should put a a £50m bid in for Raheem Stirling.
