Despair and Champs - good posts. Like you, I can't understand "fans" whose main objective seems to be to prove themselves "right".
It's absolutely fine to offer opinions and suggestions - it's part of the fun. However, when these people don't praise what's in front of them because it doesn't tie in with their preconceptions, I simply "Despair"!

I think there's a large percentage that have chosen that they won't return with venkys as owners no matter what. I think even back in the premier now, we'd only get crowds of around 15,000..

We get between 11-14k now. If we go up to the Prem, and play Man City, United, Newcastle etc then add 6k to that. And you have what we had before. 21-24k (both dependant on how well we are doing)
All that happened was the floaters disappeared. At best Rovets can get around 18k home fans. On average at worst we get around 11k home fans.

Hi champs thanks for the reply
I understand what you are saying and I am fully aware that you cannot win them all however Wigan seem to be very strong and unlikely to drop many now and Shrewsbury seem to be defying odds and sticking around
As Williams and Mowbray have said too many draws
Against teams like Plymouth a point away is ok but not if you want automatic promotion.

I believe that the majority of the ones 'staying on' are probably nearer to my 'generation', where they have seen both good times and bad times. It's the ebbs and flow of life. It's what makes it interesting, if that is the right word.
The ones that have given up, by and large will be made up of the ones that 'appeared' during our recent golden spell. This is really not all that different to most any other club.
As for our aspirations, I am none too stressed over it. It's what I find comes with old age, where you begin to get far more relaxed about things like this ie it's not life or death.
Whether we get 3 or 1 or no points today will be mainly based upon whether we deserve them or not.
When I involve in the prediction part of things, I am simply guessing! More than likely tinged with an hopeful slant, without letting it too readily influence my predict. I am fairly sure that if there was any other darker surety science about it, we would all be far richer!
Maybe Alf is on a slightly better level than the rest of us, who can say . But I've heard he resides in a very fancy charabanc.
Likewise, if we eventually prove ourselves better than Wigan and or Shrews, so be it. If not then we accept the final outcome. Just as it should be.

The way I see it you will give them a good game but ultimately:

    Plymouth 3 v 1

Well, as feared Mowbray has gone back into his shell with his selection of Conway, sending the message to Plymouth, 'we are wary of you', handing them initiative to come at us.

I fear a draw at best now.
