I'm gutted to lose him but the show goes on. When you think that this time last year we had an owner frum tarn, head coach frum tarn and club captain frum tarn, sat 8th in the championship table playing exciting attacking football. It shows how quickly things can change in football. Now we dont have the same identity which is sad.

Id love Macca to manage here but it's probably a slim chance of that happening with the way our club operates if I'm completely honest. Can you see an experienced manager like him demoting to a head coach & working with amateurs on a laptop studying player stats? Me neither.

Having said that his budget at Ipswich is modest and I think there's a chance he'd leave them because he can't do much more down there. I'm probably reaching for sh1te hoping it happens and hope can drive a man insane as they say
    Like Paul who?

Whoever we get Pass, you can bet the club won’t be quick in appointing the new HC.

Like you side it’s hard to believe what a good side we had and the football we were playing. Replacing the players with our “money ball” recruitment strategy and budget means the pool of players will be small. If you can’t get the right type of player for the system you play then you have to change the system on the pitch.

I’d love big Mick but I doubt he’d want to come.

There’s a few I wouldn’t want to come but whoever gets it, they will get my support.

Hecky performed miracles on the lowest budget in the Championship keeping us competitive.

He covered over cracks and mistakes made from the old and new regime.

Frequently let down in transfer windows, having the rug pulled from under his feet on more than one occasion.

Not only did he do the Head Coach role he was also acting CEO plus others.

Good job he was one of our own showing commitment, passion and a love for the club or else we would be in a far worse position than we are now.

Who can blame him moving up the road to a bigger club that have more ambition than us and don’t give me that we have more money than them. Owners might have but the club doesn’t!!!

Hopefully he will have more help behind the scenes so he can do the job he does best, which is coaching players!! He has the highest coaching badges you can get and knows his stuff which is why he is highly sought after.

Thanks for the memories and good luck at Leeds Hecky!!

I might also add good luck to our new Head Coach, you’ll need it !!! God forbid you play players that you trust, who you see in training everyday, pick formations that give us the best chance to win or draw. Not forgetting if you lose 5 or 6 on the bounce even though the players are of less ability than most teams in the Championship then certain fans will be calling for your head.

    Thanks Mrs. Heckinbottom

But we haven't been competitive have we ? And that's why he lost our support. Said it before, Tom Thumb - same rules, same budget, same constraints built a competitive, promotion winning squad and coached them to success.

    And Hecky couldn't.

And there's still folk on here lamenting his loss to Leeds. Good luck Hecky you'll be looking for a new job in 2019 sunshine.

How's tha work that out red flagged ?

We were a league lower and he never had his team dismantled when sat in a good position .

Mainly because he never had us in a good position or had his players playing well enough to attract attention .

He never even picked Roberts .

Took the owner to get his team on track when he brought Hammill back .

Absolutely no comparison to what Hecky dealt with during the last 12 months .
