Ihiekwe, Purrington and Ajayi all good enough imo so I’d say Warne was more right than wrong (Gwru) but I still think he made a mistake sending Purrington out, he’s our player, cost enough and is young enough to improve which he was doing and would have done a good job for us in Championship imo.

Hopefully he’s got even more signings right this season which so far is looking good

    Imo

Has anyone considered Ben may have asked to go out on loan ?

Didn't get many games last season, some due to injuries and some because he was second choice to Joe Mattock.

We will have an option to bring him back in January......if he's needed.

Yes I think he probably did but we could have said no unless he’s homesick 😂
I don’t get it but still I’m supporting the team like always but expect moaning just as much as appreciation

I'm going to assume Mr Warne knows what he's doing 😊👍

Warney has just been on Radio DeeDah. Summarising what he said - he wants Purrington to get game time, and will reassess at Xmas whether to bring him back or not for second half of season

Ihiekwe was widely regarded as our best player during the opening months of last season and had another good spell at the end. His play off errors are lingering in the memory stronger than his good points and should be considered a good find from non league (though the Championship might be a step up too far and i wouldn't be surprised to see him loaned out).

These two played big roles in our promotion season. Let's not forget that even Kari Arnasson was capable of regular gaffes at the same level.
Why is it harsh m8? By your reply 2 out of 5 are ok. Though you have doubts about ihiekwe being good enough for the championship
Or 3 if like myself you Inc purrington..
Imo Mattock was the weak link last time we were in the championship. Purrington is a much better defender though last season defencive fullbacks were not what we're needed.

Can't fault warnies other signings as most have been ok. He just seems to struggle when it comes to defenders. Maybe it's the best we can get for the money we pay

I thought Purrington had a rough deal with us to be honest.

Hopefully he will return stronger and better.
