The Summer recruitment thread is a sad indictment of where we are as fans right now.

    So much infighting its scary.

In over 40 years of watching the Dons, i have never known the support to be as split as it is right now. I firmly believe that Kingsford and DNA in particular, has created a huge divide. This to me is the clubs fault.

    How do we rectify it?

I genuinely can't see a good outlook if it continues for a few more months. People will just get p!ssed off and stop going (as a lot have done already).

I don't think that the club are doing anything at all to encourage fans to continue to go to games. I went to apply for a ticket for Hibs away, only to find that I don't even qualify for phase 2 of the distribution, despite having a season ticket for myself and young lad for the last few years.

The fiasco that was Burnley away, with the tickets there, also highlighted how out of touch the club are regarding the fans. Initially telling long suffering fans that they wouldn't get tickets, then emailing individuals to say "it's ok, you can go".

Just never felt this disconnected to the club I have supported for so long.

Haha, forum etiquette! That went out the window ages ago here.

Anyway, yeah i did wake up p!ssed off, probably due to not qualifying for a hibs ticket, so yeah you are right.

Looks like I wasn't the only person with the same thought due to the replies....

Your basing your assumptions on the fact you think this board is representative of AFC support. It’s not. It’s just a noisy corner in the upper stand. I like that but it’s not the view of the other 10k.

    Absolutely.
I very much doubt that this board is an accurate representation of the Aberdeen support.

I Disagree, I actually think it is a very accurate representation, yes our opinions may vary (that's normal) but we all want whats best for our club, and want them to win every single game and at the same time be treated fairly and with respect from the club, and right now and for a few years now that has not been happening, the club "talk the talk" by saying the BS they think the fans want to hear, but when it comes to "walking the walk" then that is something completely different. They have no idea about fairness and respect for the paying fan, whether he is based in Aberdeen going physically week in week out to every single game, or based in anywhere going to the odd game that he can manage as and when possible, or living overseas, we are all fans that want the best for our club but our personal circumstances and situations vary from man to man. The clubs approach to us all does not vary they consistently treat us all like sh!te, and its very very sad.

    Possibly, but I doubt it.
Let me rephrase, I don’t think this board is representative of those that regularly go to the games.
This board appears to be predominantly utilised by the polar opposite, fans that don’t go and want a medium to discuss, share and debate.

    Utter horsesh1t.

This board is a huge mix of people varying from don't miss a game supporters to those who live abroad never attending a game. It is the sheer snobbery of the "elite" supporter to assume otherwise.

On the topic of the club treating the fans like crap we only have to look at the fact that we rarely get any displays these days due to the fact that the club pissed off the Ultras by being as pig headedly obstinate in letting these things be arranged. Sure the Ultras were not everyone's cup of tea but they did bring a bit of noise and colour to game days. My cousin who was one of the organisers will not step foot in Pittodrie again till Milne has been ousted. My mum regrets the day she asked him how he was enjoying the football!!
