I would agree that the list of leaches gaining money for doing sweet f a was far too long but that was reduced some time ago wasn't it?

Well any child can be Prime Minister, theoretically.

    That's the important position.

Well it will be if we get out from the clutches of the EU.

Head of state is technically higher ranking.

Prime minister certainly holds more power than the EU (since they can lead a government that can withdraw from Europe).

Head of state can technically fire the Prime Minister.

Don't you think your position is contradictory, you're desperate to leave Europe because you don't think it's democratic, but you're happy to retain an anti-democratic monarchy?

As long as the Royal Family are happy and continue enjoying their holidays, sorry tours, then I'm happy for one. We need something to help us get through these unusually hard times and seeing hundreds of pics of new born Royal kids is just the ticket.

Just to add to my previous comment on privilege. This is what it creates in society:[/url]Name: level-playing-field.jpg

The poor feckers at the bottom don't have the same opportunities as those at the top because privilege generates privilege. It is self reinforcing. Admittedly it just doesn't apply to the Royals but while ever we ever have this in society it will never be fair. If you want an unfair world or think that unfairness is acceptable then fair enough. Personally, I don't.

You make a void and someone will fill it! Take out the Royals and someone with money to raise backing for the position will fill it. Again Trump or even worse a military coup
