    Highly likely

It seems to me that the determination and drive our players had at start of the season has virtually gone yes they still put the effort in but the daringness has gone not to mention we don’t have the presence up front like other teams do.

As for January we need to keep key players and bring in a right back a midfielder and a striker, but I can see us losing 2 key players and spending nothing

Isn't this doom and gloom a bit premature.
We've played badly vs Reading first half and all of yesterday.
Second half vs Reading we were back to our usual standards and we had a right good go at WBA without giving up. They had a prem striker who doesn't miss at cship level. We hit woodwork twice, two cleared off line and should have scored from two pens one of which wasn't given......this vs an ex prem team. I wouldn't agree our standards dropped it's just they were more clinical and forced us into errors.

Yesterday we were awful but weren't given two pens for blatant handballs in their area. Fine lines

One and a half bad performances hardly makes a crisis.
A couple of tweaks to the playing squad may very well bring a few victories we need

We are in the table where we expected to be.
If we finish fourth bottom it’s job done.
Expectations got raised with some of the results.
The target is still the same to stay up.

Someone the £7m that we have as a club. I think the last time we were in the Championship our players wages was that and to be honest I can't see us paying less than that now. The £1m for the ground loan leaves £3m but then you have to calculate the coaching staff, the groundsmen, the scouting network which is employing another overseas/cheif scout then there is the media people and everyone who works at the stadium. How much do we pay SYP, the security people and the controllers on matchday? There are the signing on fees that are divided up for the duration of the contracts and are paid each year to each player. There are the additional wages for ex managers and players who have signed contracts and are being paid after leaving the club.

We are what we are and unless we sell we cannot buy. Each time we are chasing someone we get the player choosing another club because of wages.

Soemone has to go out before we can get one in is what we're told. I hate it when someone says that we don't ever want to go back to collecting with buckets again and I'm sure that we won't.

We have got a chairman who is honouring what he set out to do with Rotherham United. We're in the Championship and up to now we have played some above average football for the below standard players that we have. I don't mean that to be disrespectful to the players but really can you see many of our players in any other team in the Championship? One or two maybe but the rest are giving their all and doing bloody well.

We can't compete financially with vast majority of the teams in this division but we have shown that we can on the pitch.

Please explain who our two key players are ? Most Championship clubs wouldn't want any of our team.

January will show Stewarts true colours - something which gets said every single year around this time. His colours are red and white and have been for the last ten years. Even if we go crazy and spend millions, it doesn't guarantee anything. We'll still be the smallest club in the division and the one everyone expects to beat.
Would anyone really throw £millions at a club who struggle to get 8000 of their own fans in for home games? This time last year we all wanted Kiefer Moore and despaired when we ended up with some lump who couldn't get a game at struggling Bury.
And look where we are now, a division higher with our destiny in our own hands.
I agree that the team needs strengthening but if you think we'll be spending big money, you'll be disappointed. Be grateful for what we have, it could be so much worse. Chesterfield, for example.

Great post Hazza. The question should be "Will the Rotherham public show their vrue colours". A Millers crowd of below 8k to watch WBA is laughable.

The novelty of the new stadium has gone and the club needs to add something more for the fans.

I'd start with the food, pie or sausage roll is not much of a choice.

What about burgers, chips, sandwiches, fish and chips, pork pies, jacket potatoes, cornish pasties, noodle boxes, pizza?

Signing Championship standard players, winning a few games, not playing 4-5-1 at home against this league's worst teams... worth trying?
