Not done great either, watched Barnsley yesterday and they looked a lot more defensively solid than us, don't think they would have lost 7-0.

And Man City barely got out of first gear TBH, they could have had double figures easy.

Bit shell shocked to be honest.
Never seen us lose by that many and be outclassed so much in 40 seasons.
Think we lost to Wrexham 0-7 once in the 80,s but fortunately I wasn't there.

I was in the home end with some City fans and although the ones I was with were ok the rest weren't very complimentary of us or our fans. Sounded like another set of fans who we know who,s team play in a darker shade of blue.

As good as City are and for all their money they still haven't won the champions league and haven't got close.

We were playng Burnley's second string fire , a world away from the quality you faced today .

City would have got 7 against us too .

    City will destroy most teams.
Didn’t play well ? I just don’t think they let us they are superb from back to front.
We’ve made some money out of it and we move on.
    See you at Ipswich

I don't know, I think you could have kept it down to 5 or 6!

Apparently the ref blew for full-time before 90 minutes was up he felt so sorry for us!

Our frailties in defence were exposed by some of the best attackers money can buy. This sesason our fullbacks and wide midfielders regularly fail to close down players and stop crosses, we just don't get close enough. We try to close them down once the wide player has already received the ball.

When we did win the ball we had no outlet. Everyone including Smith was in our third of the pitch, a few times Smith was in our 18 yard box tracking back.

Let's hope Warne can pick them up for Saturday.

He had the whistle in his mouth as the clock hit 90mins, given there was 4 goals and 6 subs, probably should have been 5mins extra time.

Well, I was proud of my team. True, we could have made more of the few free-kicks, and long throws, that we didn't use, but the gulf in class was incredible
We kept battling to the end, threw ourselves in front of many shots, and somehow kept them under double figures.it cost them 300 million quid to win that match.
Not a big deal, but would have preferred us in all red, might have helped us pick players out better, but I guess money talks.
