Relates to the point I was making yesterday, when I was having a 4kin good moan. If we continual to play scudball, will CMS be any more effective the Danny Boy? Errr, more than likely, no. Now if we are determined not to change our style of play, then we need the Gomis, Akinfenwa type.

I don't think we've signed CMS to be an out and out striker though. I reckon he'll sit on one of the flanks of a front three, I don't think we'll play scud ball but be direct, slight difference in that we'll put the ball into space rather than aim for a head

Does anyone know if there is a clause in the deal which means he cannot play against us in April, because he is bound to score.

Would be odd if we allowed him to play. I also don’t think we’ve seen the best of him, but Ardley clearly feels he has other options.

In England the default is usually that a player can't play against his "parent club" unless it's agreed in the deal (and it's usually stated on the announcement, like Milsom's). Chelsea tried to get Atletico to not play Courtois against them in the Champions League one season unless they paid a hefty fee and UEFA basically just told Chelsea that clause in the contract was about as legitimate as Munto's £5million guarantee

In the Milsom deal, I assume Crawley were the ones insisting that he play.

And didn’t we once let Nigel “fatty” Jemson play against us (for Shrewsbury?) because we forgot to put anything in the loan deal agreement?
