    Agree
Townsend keeping Gibbs out, if he’s not fit why was he in the squad.
As for Phillips, on is day …. But when will that be? .Next week, next month, next year?

Despite being poor today, had the penalty been converted I think that we would have gone on to win the game. In fairness to Rodrigues it's his first miss of the season, albeit a costly one.

Win the game? You had one shot on target, and your keeper kept a few out.

Stand in coaches often get a bit of joy but it’s time for somebody the players look upto a bit more and less of a mate.

Let’s be fair Minn, Albion WITH Barnes, Phillips and Gibbs most of time are bang average!!

That said it still could , with some luck, be good enough to get us promoted but not sure that will be a good thing with the squad we have.

Well said Yarm, thank goodness we have someone that doesn't just slam into the man for losing his first game, records show Millwall have the hex on us at the moment couple that with the fact that West Brom have always been crap at taking penalties and you have a recipe for a little disaster.

How did Aintree finish up for you buddy?

We didn't heed the warnings from their games against Everton, Brighton and Leeds. Sorry, but you can't play in this league when just seven or eight have turned up. It was frustrating to see the talent we have being shown up by a team with more desire. Cooper and the clever Gregory were very good for them.

    Who’s slamming him 54?

I have a lot of respect and admiration for the superb Albion youth coaching set up.
Do you think we should risk the future of one of the best youth coaches around and throw him into the colosseum?

Never been to Aintree before and only went to first 2 days but would recommend it to anyone thinking about going. Weather tried its best to spoil the Thursday, very cold and rained most of the day turning the ground into soft and meaning saw most of the races from screens in the bar! Thankfully Friday a lot better and Ladies Day we’ll say no more!!! Great quality racing, great atmosphere and great viewing venue, except of course you cannot see the National fences out in the country from the stands. What a sight being opposite The Chair fence when they all jumped it at speed.

Betting difficult, especially first day due to changing ground and I did my bets before I went, big mistake as it didn’t forecast such testing ground. Only one winner The Glancing Queen in the last at 5/1 so a small loss. Day 2 only 2 winners but Min 4/1 and Cadmium 16/1 meant profit overall and covered my food and drinks from it for the 2 days. Yes I know Cadmium finally won at 8/1 but I honestly took 16/1 from one bookie when they first opened when most were offering 12/1.

Back at home yesterday had Kidistart at 17/2 and 2 minutes before the off took 5/1 on Tiger Roll on enhanced odds on my Paddy Power account. Wasn’t prepared to back at less and looked as if I wasn’t going to get a bet on because of it. Proves again to me you don’t need many winners, I had 5 had out 21 races, to make a profit but you do need to be strict with your staking plan. There will be bad days ahead I know but hey ho great sport and although not going this year, Punchestown just around the corner.

Glad you had a great time Yarm. I just managed to keep even over the three days, something which looked unlikely at one stage.

Until I moved back to UK, I never missed the Punchestown Festival for years. Always found the Friday the best day with the Champion Hurdle up for grabs. An atmosphere to equal Cheltenham but with more room to move around. Have a great time if you decide to go.
