One of the other values of the BBC is supposedly impartiality, Packham has breached that on numerous occasions and he uses the BBC as a vehicle to promote his own views, the alternative view isn’t put forward.

So sack for one mistake but don’t sack for numerous breaches of BBC values?

It does not breach impartialty. Packham can say what he wants. Its up to bbc as an organisation and other presenters to put forward the altetnatives.

Is his excuse that he thought he was portraying ANY royal or any royal baby regardless of their heritage as a chimp? In other words he doesn't like Royals and completely missed the racial slur element of what he did

Danny Baker is meant to be an astute, sharp presenter which us probably why he's paid so much so it,s a little hard to believe he missed the correlation.

I agree with some people on her that what acceptable when poking fun is a bit selective at times. As someone has said Gingerism is ok, Northerners ok, middle class ok.

Agree flour, in his attempt to have a dig at the royals he inadvertently made a racist slur. With what i know about Danny Baker I would not have put him down as a racist but he has dropped a clanger here in his attempt to have a go at the Royals. Not his finest hour methinks.

I'm sure that black players get abuse as "weighty" players get who ate all the pies abuse and goal keepers get comments about their wives taking it up the back passage.

What gets me though is why this is apparently a problem for Sterling and Rose but doesn't seem to be a problem for Rashford and Walcott?
