Yes, he's a perfect fit for us Sinkov. Never (publicly) demands that we splash the cash, totally understands how our club has to go about it's business and has produced a great feeling of togetherness throughout the club. A rare beast indeed.
When the day comes he will be sorely missed but who knows? He may look on Burnley as his long term project. At many other clubs he wouldn't have lasted his first season out...and he will realise that if he went elsewhere he would not be afforded the same patience as he was allowed here. I well remember in his early days watching the most boring game ever - a 0-0 draw at home to Middlesboro. I was thinking that he wouldn't last till the end of the season. But he had a plan and the club stuck by him.
Just one point though, we achieved our first promotion to the Prem under Owen Coyle, so perhaps our board aren't totally reliant on one man after all?

a Very good friiend of mine - supported a team not too far from Burnley....with (as myself) Generations of support behind him, and all the memories and stories that came and went with them....and recalled and continued today through family and cllose friends....then a few years ago he decided, enough was enough......he stopped the wheel, had had enough, enough of the greed, the corruption, the hype, the conflict of pleasure and pain - no more support, he'd lost all interest, but not just for His team, but for 'all football'....so thanks for the thought - BT...but IF I ever do decide to end my support....there'll be no other that can fill those boots passed down to me - how could there be - so I guess i'll feel just the same as him....Barca who ?

The Child Bride debuted yesterday as a Season Ticket holder. She has seen the Clarets before when we have linked away game games with good nights out in London and Newcastle etc. but she's never been to a home game as a Season Ticket holder.
Verdict: Loves Barnes, thinks Wood is "rubbish" and her new matinee idol is James Tarkowski. She also thinks on the evidence of a couple of trips to see the lads over the last five seasons that, "Dyche is Burnley through and through" and what a good team he has gelled together!

It's always fascinating to get a new perspective BT, everybody sees things differently. Mrs S only used to go on occasionally and during one game when we were getting played off the park she said, 'Even when they're running around, they look like they're standing still'. It sounded nonsensical at first, but I had to admit it described exactly what was happening on the pitch.
