Great post, but McInnes has NEVER mastered the art of squad rotation. He usually, finally, discovers his preferred formation and personnel around about Oct/Nov then proceeds to flog the same 11 into the ground for the rest of the season.

I’ve never understood why fans would not want to utilise squad rotation, no brainier in my book.

It’s clear that playing in Europe is having a negative impact at the weekend, players are clearly drained. Is that a fitness issue? Doesn’t Derek trust his own squad? Is that down to poor recruitment? Why didn’t Wilson and Devlin start today?

Fair scunnered with that p1sh today

I think it is a weak mindset issue - both manager and players. Look at celtic and sevco, both had similar standard teams to play away from home in Europe, both made more or less the same number of changes as we did yet they score 11 goals between them (arguably against better teams than we played). Yes they have better quality players to come in than we do with their larger squads, but the big difference is they know they have to win, are sent out to attack accordingly by their managers. Compare that with our safety first p1sh against the team that is more than likely going to be relegated this season.

When the squad rotation means bringing in Championship or at best bottom 3 Premiership players like Main & Wright, you’re asking for trouble.
Just how many chances to impress is Wright going to get (& not take)?
    Curtis Main is hopeless too.
Not fast. Not good in the air. Not skilful. Doesn’t score many goals. WTF does he actually do?

I know, Main is actually making me yearn to have Stevie May back.

We'll see about Wright & Main. McInnes spoke about a couple of players not taking their chance today, perhaps that's them lost his trust.

Wright is at best a bottom six player but probably more suited to the Championship. Curtis Main should be back to the lower leagues in England by January. He likes the battle but we need more than that.

Maybe his Hamilton’s “banter” came back to bite him on the arse - mods must still be about somewhere.

Personally - I don’t miss his tedious repetitive drivel in the slightest so long may his absence continue.

As for Thursday, I can see us winning as they are nothing special - as today’s result for them seems to confirm - but I simply cannot see us keeping a clean sheet so we’ll be out on away goals at best.

Given today's debacle vs St Mirren (who had 4 new players starting I believe ffs) it’s probably no bad thing to call a halt to the Thursday games now as we clearly can’t cope with that & the league with this squad.

Too late min - we’re right smack bang there now & from here on in. Only hope would be Sevco going pop - but that’s a pipe dream I’m afraid - & anyway Milne & co would just support another tribute act popping up to continue the overspending & continuation farce this version plays out.

Cheers Milne you spineless snivelling hun rimming c’unt.
