Yes, I don't think anyone who does charity work - whether they be on minimum wage or a professional footballer - does it for 'recognition'. However the latter is able to use his public profile to generate publicity for the charity, which in turn encourages others to contribute either time or money. That's surely something to be encouraged and applauded?

So is Matt Crooks a big money signing? Certainly potential there for it to be the case if he continues to improve as he's doing with us

My point about Will Vauks is that he only got the press coverage because he,s a footballer. He,s well paid and has got a lot of spare time to do what he does
Many others do just a much and never get that recognition

Flour, have you ever given thought to the fact we had about 25 pros on our books at the time Will was here but only one at the time, chose to spend his spare time in this way. He was and still is a great advert for a person and great human being, who cares about the community he resided in at the time footballer or not.

It's not his fault it got leaked out about him and what he did in his spare time. If the Advertiser wanted to go to press about him and what he supported then blame them, that's if you feel it worthy to go down that route.

Love him or loathe him Steve Evans brought good times and 2 promotions.
His methods might not be everyone's cup of tea but I for one cannot criticise the bloke because of this.

Yeah so let's criticise him because of that.
What a sad way to view someone who is voluntarily doing something to help people less fortunate than himself. Says a lot more about you than it does about Will Vaulks.
