Just need Bilic to take Sawyers quietly to one side and whisper some words of encouragement eg Next time you dick about in our box when defending a corner or freekick instead of putting it into row Z and ill personally rip your nuts off, OK?

That cancels out the Charlton penalty and gives us back the two points lost in that game.

We just need another on Saturday to cancel out the Sheff Wednesday penalty.

If we can beat Fulham and Forest at home and not lose to Leeds I can’t see any other side being able to keep us out of the top two.

Leeds fans are bleating and saying that we cheated our way to the top. I don't think that it was a penalty but we got lucky tonight. As the saying goes 'swings and roundabouts'. For instance, Charlton's injury time penalty against us. Never a penalty. That's football; some you win, some you don't!

When we were in the bottom half of the money league I always (reluctantly) accepted that the likes of the top 6 were going to get more of the rub of the green against the ‘smaller’ clubs because usually they had more of the ball in the opposition penalty area.

They made more runs into the box, they were challenged more in the box and therefore there were more potential penalty decisions to be made by the referee and inevitably there were sometimes going to favour the attacking side. Throw in large support pressure from the terraces and the big clubs get more crucial decisions.

For me that is what happened last night. If you keep knocking on the penalty area door with quick attacking runs there will be contact in the box and you will get some of these marginal decisions. Law of averages says we should get more than our fair share and we deserve to get them because we create that pressure with our creativity.
