    Hi Woody, I used to to work for BT in Wolvo and one of my workmates played for them. We used to have a game in West Park most lunchtimes, after tuning down a few sides I signed for the Gunmakers

    played for churchfields 1959/1963.from the 1st to the last year I left school.never lost a game (honestly).we had a A and B teams.when I was there,well 500/600 kids to choose from most years had 2teams.lost count the cups the whole of the school football teams won.there was a picture of us in year 3 when we won a cup think it was called Richardson cup,on the back of the black country bugle few years back.mr Brady I think his name was our coach as he would have been.i know he only had one arm.demanded you run your *******s off all game if you didn’t no game for you the week after.

    West Park must be one of the only patches of green I have never played on in Wolverhampton. The youth league team I played for used East Park, the pitches at the time were amongst the best I have ever seen. For old times sake I always drive past the park when I am back in Wolvo, the fields are still there but how often they are used I don't know.

    Richardson Cup for younger and Gibson Cup for later year kids.

    that’s the ones 923 won both still got the medel for Gibson ,but for some reason they never issued medals for the other ,may have changed later on.
