Although I ran a support group for some years to help others with their emotional problems due to child abuse I never sorted myself out. That time is now. All I can say is if it wasn't for my Grandparents I am sure I would be in prison now. They held me together thankfully. My Grandad lost all his friends in France during the war and often told me his stories. I have nothing but respect for them. I have lost them all now. Lots of questions but cant get answers anymore.
Good to read you've sought therapy Boingy, I hope it brings you some kind of peace. Think I could do with some of that myself. Take care fella 😎 .

Sorry to read you've been ill and I hope you're on the way to recovery. You're bang on about trying to enjoy every minute going but it can be easier said than done. Sadly some memories aren't as good as others and there are times when you don't see sunshine for clouds. I'm at Millwall on Sunday so we may bump into each other if you're up to travelling. Take care Al'.

    Hi 68,

I’ve been in regular contact with Al over the last few weeks and I know of his travails and wish him a speedy recovery.

However.....a trip to the New Den is probably not high on the list for him or anyone with even as much as a bad cold 😆😆

I hope you yourself are okay 68 as you seem a bit distracted of late old lad?

I’ve met up forum member Stripes a couple of times as he lives close to me in Chaddesley Corbett and we were hoping to meet up with Al as soon as he’s feeling better.

It’s sometimes good to chat 68 so I don’t know where you live but if you want to meet me or us anytime to chew the cud it’d be good to meet you?

    All the best chap.

Thank you 68 - unfortunately can’t go to this one but will try and get a stream. Trying to stay sane and taking time out to spend with the family and little one. Mick has been a huge help to me so it just shows there’s some wonderful people around on this forum.

I am still feeling positive all things West Brom and those three signings in the window were all good. I know a Hull fan well and he said the pole should do brilliant in a strong squad like ours.

Enjoy Millwall and think we should have enough to beat them. Sawyers starting to worry me though and think he needs to be rested.

Cheers Albionic. I recently encouraged a friend to join the AA because of his drink problems. Huge step to accept you have a problem. Its been a big step for me to get therapy. I broke down twice during the assessment and couldn't speak so I guess there's lots to sort out.
