    No problem.

I'd like to thank the Queen of England and her loyal subjects for paying the taxes that got me drunk all over the world.

You deserve it and i do not grudge a penny.....most in the forces were underpaid for many years....pension when you leave, upgrade at 50 or 55 if I remember right....all good.

55 but I didn't behave well enough, lick enough arse, give enough of a **** or do long enough to get that little perk. I get my RAF pension (not much) in 3 years at which point I'll be claiming to be a pensioner and looking for reduced entry into football grounds if I'm still going to them I know others that claim to be pensioners when they're not.

I was a bitter and twisted individual when I was in the RAF, I only did it because it was during Thatcher's reign and it was difficult to get skilled work but easy to get into a skilled trade in the RAF; it was never for me and there were thousands of us in the same boat serving at that time.

I still have nightmares about my time in the RAF and am still very bitter about some of the things I saw, heard and experienced from many, many (but not all) English servicemen of all ranks toward Scottish, Irish, Welsh, Black and Asian servicemen. This is one of the reasons I want Scotland to have nothing to do with England.

However, I still say that, career wise, getting out of the RAF was the best thing I've ever done - however joining in the first place was the second best.
