Hi Scoop, i must of a have seen you about, my surname is Munroe and have a twin called Neil. We lived and my brother still lives there by the gulley.

You must have remembered a lot of the people from around there. The Welches. Steventons. Elsmores Truemans. Were you aware that Jennifer (Trueman as was) husband Geoff (Doyle) had passed away only a couple of weeks back

Hi Tony, one the best places to live is Dagger lane . There was a BT enginner,well it was Post Office Telephones in the old days, who lived in a big bungalow on the same side as the pub. His name was Roger, he was wheelchair bound after breaking his back on a motorbike think it was at the Isle of Man. BT was good to him, kept him on gave him a workshop at the Booth st dept and he wired up some on the switchboards to save doing it on site. Saw his house for sale recently must have passed on.

I knew Roger, he loved pottering about in his garden, the bungalow was in Lloyd Street it change to Dagger Lane at the junction with Woodward Street where there used to be an Off Licence on the corner

Hi Scoop, Geof lived 3 doors from us, didn't know he had passed away,him and Jenny were a lovely couple. Tony Welsh died of a brain tumour in his middle 40s ,Roger Elsmore died from drink problems mid 40s as did Danny Blares son, i could go go and go there most be about 20 who died young who you would have known.
Been racking my brain who you are. the ones in Kelvin way who i knew went to the tech are, one of the Gordans,Jems,Burton,Rose and Stanley Mathews plus a lad further up ist name Trevor can't think of his surname.

Yes we was in the Cubs at The Good Shepherd. My best mates in Kelvin way was Paul ,Dave and Mark Sheppard. Up from the Gordans was the Snooks,i went to school with David but didn't know what school his older brother went to. They had a lodger called postman Pat he goes to all the away games. JUst up from there the was the Edwards. Am i close.
