So here’s my thing you and the rest of the world and media jumped on it like a rash because the guy was murdered by a white policeman, that’s where the problem for me is,

I never want anything to happen to anyone in situations like this and I get the feeling your not condoning the black youth protests ( well violence and looting etc - I mean they attacked a black policeman and hospitalised him).

Surely if black lives matter as well as whites and every other colour creed known they shouldn’t be attacking firstly policeman and especially not black policeman.

I still think Trump will get in again , yes he has his moments but he’s done nothing but good for his country.
George Floyd was murdered in cold blood by men who are paid to protect him. A man was asphyxiated to death with images that really are unsettling to say the very least army88.

If I was you I would worry about the "Law and Order" demonstrated on both sides of the Atlantic in response to what started out as peaceful protests. I have no idea why anyone could condone widescale looting and that just gave Trump the excuse to fall back on his default position. "If the looting starts, the shooting starts". He is President of the US and will wilfully kill his own citizens without a moment's deliberation.

My point was BT you intimated in our country anyway if your born black and especially if you are a young male you are persecuted etc by the police , whilst I watched on Tv as policemen and women were punched and kicked abused etc etc for what I can see is absolutely nothing to do with an issue in this country just the media and others hyped up something to a frenzy for nothing.

I then watched police on bended Knee apologising and spouting black lives matter ( and they do but no more than the next man or woman Indian Asian African white man ).

Going back to George for a minute the man it turns out was a known criminal with lots of previous and convictions for beating his wife / girlfriend -Drug conviction - high on drugs at the time . ( that doesn’t give anyone the right to kill him accepted ).

Also I posted the selfless acts of protesters in this country who gathered in large groups in a time of lockdown didn’t wear masks in a lot of cases beat up policemen and women ( including black officers )

I mean come on BT you had such a Bee in your bonnet for Cummings driving in his car and yet this week supporters of Black Lives are allowed to travel together , riot , spread the disease , catch the disease kill
Innocent people , beat innocent people up and it’s all acceptable for the death of a man who was a criminal horrible individual ( truth told ) At the other side of the world.

This in this country as in America is a political stunt and Is created to cause un rest , you can dress it up as you like but sadly the facts are there and you missed the points in that why did black lives not matter last week a month ago a year ago - for me they did matter but they were never reported on and in lots of cases blacks are killing blacks - is that some way acceptable or is it different this week because it was white policeman who did it ?.

Like most on here I condone the men who did what they did in America it was horrific but I cannot see why this has happened here , what has it achieved ? Nothing except incite racism .

For me personally colour creed doesn’t matter I have friends and colleagues who are Asian, Indian , black and all are equal in my eyes , however I can’t accept the stirring - dragging up of something that isn’t there - times have moved on and acceptance of all races is much better , all this has achieved in my eyes anyway is set us back a hundred years .

It’s funny when I read a bit more Clinton was due in court when George was sadly murdered for avoiding testifying re her e mail scandal - wow how convenient that was with political race hotting up in the USA.

It’s ridiculous and we’re on it in this country as well
I mean where does it start and end campaigning that black lives matter and then stabbing each other to death in drug or gang warfare.

Which is it then do they matter or not ?
He will now rig the Elections...

1.Why have I been playing bowls for over 30 years against lots of Clubs but in all that time I have come across just one black bowler. I have come across disabled bowlers, blind bowlers, several deaf and dumb bowlers and just one who is black.

Its their choice.nobody is to stopping them.

2.As a percentage how many black & Asian people live around Burnley. Is this represented by the supporters attending BFC?

Its their choice nobody is stopping them.

3.How many people generally would really welcome a black or Asian family moving in next door.

after some of the white neighbours I've seen, probably most would.I would have no problem with that.

Video evidence of curfews, baton charges and police brutality coming out of the US is much more unsettling to me personally than the thought of a black family moving in next door.

Some years past on a cruise holiday we met a London bus driver and his wife, who were black but a very friendly and charming couple. During the time we spent together on that cruise she told us of some of the things that had been done or said to her on the streets of London which I found to be distasteful at the very least. This lady had lived in London since her early ****age and worked until she was at retirement age.
We met them again a few years later, we noticed throughout that holiday that they always appeared to be on a table of their own even when the venue was full. People would rather stand than sit with them, I think that had these people made an effort to speak with them they would have found out what nice people they were.
When we docked in the Florida, we had an afternoon ashore with them and the attitude of the people running the bars, café & shopping mall left something to be desired, yet they probably spent more money in those shops than most of the other customers but were definitely not treated with respect.
This is the only time I have seen racism, or colour prejudice, first hand and I was not pleased with what I saw. I think that irrespective of race, religion or colour of the skin people deserve to be respected as I like to be treated with respect myself.

Do not understand why a am unable to use T E E N A G E on this message board.

Sadly Vintage your tale demonstrates vividly just how racism is alive and kicking on both sides of the Atlantic. If you want further proof, just look how one English MP who has the largest single majority in the House of Commons is treated.
