Apologies I have let you down with that

Then label it as a message of solidarity against racism instead of it showing solidarity for a racist, yes racist, group of people doing all they can to create divisions and mayhem. And one thing is for phukkin sure nobody needs to kneel to show solidarity against racism, all anyone needs to do is to speak up loud and clear when and where it rears it’s ugly head.

Sadly, too many cowardly people all over the world ignore racism when they see or hear it but feel they are doing the right thing by phukkin kneeling? get a phukkin grip and man up people, when you hear it or see it phukkin confront it there and then or shut the phukk up.

Not sure if I gave enough phukks there?

I've met black people who think I'm part of the problem because I'm white, they're mostly guys who haven't got to know me, so I try to educate them that not all white people are opposed to racial equality. Most of them get it thankfully.

But the bigger problem is the white people who refuse to see that there is still plenty racism in white society and who refuse to accept that black people should have equality. Seems we have one on this thread.

The section of society that is the biggest problem is those that push back against the BLM movement because they dont want black people to have equality and fairness. So they invent stuff like ALM or WLM too.

Thousands upon thousands of white people marched in solidarity with the BLM protests.
Most of the marches were peaceful and only a very small minority used them as cover for looting and violence.

Taking the knee is a mark of solidarity, but its not a mark of inferiority if a white person does it. You can't make people do it though. Just as you can't change an old racist, they're always going to be racist.

The league said "Black Lives Matter" had become an "expression of unity for people from all communities who believe it is unacceptable to treat black people differently to anyone else".

"In an unprecedented move, Premier League players from all 20 clubs united in solidarity with this message and the Premier League supported their request to replace their names on the back of playing shirts with 'Black Lives Matter'," the statement added.

"The Premier League offered this backing as we wholly agree with the players' single objective of eradicating racial prejudice wherever it exists. And we are unequivocal in the belief that there is no room for racism in our competition, football as a whole, or the wider community."

Explaining that "professional football bodies and the players and managers recognise the importance of the message that black lives matter", the league added: "We do not endorse any political organisation or movement, nor support any group that calls for violence or condones illegal activity.

"We are aware of the risk posed by groups that seek to hijack popular causes and campaigns to promote their own political views.

"These actions are entirely unwelcome and are rejected by the Premier League and all other professional football bodies, and they underline the importance of our sport coming together to declare a very clear position against prejudice. We want our message to be a positive one that recognises football has the power to bring people together."

No nothing there about supporting an organisation called Black Lives Matter

Good post. But I fear it will go over some heads.
Just because there are some militants in the BLM movement no way should change what the overwhelming aim of the movement is. A comparison closer to home for our Dee visitor - many people were and still are in favour of a united Ireland but they refused to support the IRA or the methods they used in support of it. You can condemn a minority within a group but still legitimately support the overall aims of that group.
