If that is the case in your eyes he should score 50/60 a season then?

Well I don't know how you're measuring that and whether you're talking about PL games, all club games, or club and international games, but considering that he's being mentioned here alongside Messi, Ronaldo and Levandowski, and considering he would allegedly walk into any team in the world, and considering he plays as a forward in a free scoring team managed by an ultra attack-minded coach, surrounded by a literally a billion pounds worth of talent, against inferior clubs who are usually chasing the game after 60 mins, and considering he plays in two domestic cups and the latter stages of European competition, and is a regular starter in a free scoring national team, then yeah why not? That's what top forwards in elite club and international teams can do.

The Man City v Lyon game puts our poor effort against Harrogate into perspective.

City - choc-a-bloc with world class players - played like a pub team.

You are full of **** pal. Played like a pub team? That’s just the stupidest comment I think I have ever seen.
Man City didn’t play as well as they could. Tactically they were wrong. Team selection was wrong. Pep takes most of the blame IMO.
But pub team, wow. You must have played against some outrageous pubs in your time?

Playing against inferior teams surrounded by world class players worth billions? You realise that could be applied to Messi, Ronaldo and Levandowski.
By the way I didn't and don't compare him with Messi or Ronaldo.

He was referring to me. I was trying to point out even the best players miss opportunities and mentioned them by name.
I agree with your point but he seems to think Raheem should somehow out perform these despite being inferior.

Yes I do realise that could be applied to Messi, Ronaldo and Lewandowski - that was the whole point of my post - Sterling plays as part of the front three in super rich elite-level team that regularly thrashes the opposition, so he should be compared against players who play in a similar position for Real, Barcelona, Juventus, PSG and Bayern Munich.

I think your 50 or 60 goals was meant to be an absurdly high figure but actually players at those clubs do get there.

No, all I actually said was that he's a good player but misses a lot of sitters.

I wasn't expecting it to be this controversial to be honest, but if anyone has access to the stats on expected goals versus actual goals for individual players then we should be able to settle this quite quickly.

Man Utd out as well. They need to spend more money according to Scholes, who seems oblivious to the fact that you could probably buy Sevilla's whole squad for the price of Man Utd's midfield.

    Got bless the Premier League!

Here you go. Has Raheems expected goals v actual goals.

Chucked in La Liga and Serie A.

Not sure it settled anything. Though I thought we were just providing opinions. There hasn’t been any name calling etc...
The only person that I have seen who put a comment down that was daft was Marks.
