Saying that the worst goalkeeping display I've ever seen was from Vitto Mannone who came on loan from Arsenal and played in a Sky game at Preston around 2006 , he was so out of his depth it wasn't true .

To be fair he ended up having a good PL career at Sunderland but that night at Deepdale is clearly something I've never forgotten .
Paul Malcolm joined us same time as Chris Hedworth , saw enough of them 2 in a pre Season friendly at Frickley , Tripe ,,, Mannone was another , forgot who we were playing at Home , he dropped the ball straight to their Striker , you know the rest , hardly played for us after that , was Steve Parkin our Manager at the time ?

Aww not as se*xy is it that, compared to serving behind the bar. You could have got SB to be the bouncer.

Andy Ritchie , Colgan was crocked for a few weeks and we'd done the usual and sold young prospect Scott Flinders to Crystal Palace the week before .

Mannone played abart 3 games and cost us every game he played in , the game you are recalling was Luton at home the week after he'd cost us a Preston .

Nowt much changes darn there mi owd .

Monaco haven't bought the Billy Beane Recruitment Software yet so recruitment errors will be made.

Although he wasn't my favourite keeper I liked Nick Colgan. He had his faults but was very decent for us. I'll never forget that day at the millennium stadium in 2006. When he let in that powderpuff shot I bet his world collapsed. Horrible moment. An hour or so later he wo saving the penalty that won promotion and being mauled by his teammates! Brilliant moment that was. It shows how your fortunes can change during the course of a game, from zero to hero I dare say.
