A very good friend of mine got herself involved in a charity here in Bolton and it crossed paths with another charity that provides support for homeless veterans in and around Greater Manchester.

I was "invited" to assist. Supersub6, I was shocked and embarrassed at the lack of compassion, support and assistance that are not provided by the local council and Greater Manchester council to genuine, in need of help for "on their arse" ex-servicemen and veterans.

My friend alias Queen Boadicea rallied her troops and shamed the local nitwits into action and continues to pressure those in charge and does not take "No" for an answer.

It's the "Cenotaph Hypocrisy" that does my head in Supersub6 - FFS look after our own ex-servicemen who need help and assistance and quite frankly, I do not give a flying fig where the money comes from.

All this still happening in lots of places in teh country in spite of the Armed Forces Covenant. We are extremely lucky with the help up here with the County Council having a department specifically dealing with these problems in addition to the service charities doing their bit.
