I’ve seen it in a few games.
Free kicks and offsides shouldn’t have been taken by the keeper imo, kick the ball up front then run up is too much?

For me Johannsen has to keep his place, if only to prove Warne means what he says about anyone who comes in and does the job will keep the shirt. Otherwise, what’s he got to prove?

I think he needs a bit more experience to improve his decision making, but only one way he’s gonna get that. I remember Mountford only being understudy until Brown got injured, and we never looked back.

The only issue I have with Blackman is when he has his hands up in the air while opponents are taking a penalty. By all means do it before but not when the ball is going to be kicked.

If you have no idea why this matters try jumping with your hands up in the air then try it without.

Iv never played professional football but I was a keeper in school and I can tell you now you always used your arms to catapult yourself to one side of the net.
Still confused then look at them penalties at that Scotland game and watch keepers arms. Now tell me how can you save a god damn penalty with your hands raised up in the air like you was being held up at gun point?

Its been a long time since we have been arguing about who starts as keeper, the last few years its been a simple choice of 1st choice, an experienced back-up and a trainee. Now it looks like we have 3 goal keepers to choose from that could do a decent job.

I watched the Birmingham penalty. I stopped the video at the moment the kick is struck. Blackman has his arms by his sides. He brings his arms down before the penalty is struck and just before he moves.

Johannsen has only played once this season. Not sure how can we make a valued judgement call.

As is common with selection on social media, the person who has not been picked is always much better and will certainly transform result if only given the chance.

Blackman not got the movement or quick enough reactions. Johansson looks a no. 2 keeper to me. Got to get keeper right. Vickers for me at Swansea.

    That's very true.

The other side of that coin though is a stubborn manager (any manager) that sticks to a selection when it's become obvious that the player he's picking is making mistakes, having mediocre displays and is showing no signs of improving.
