To be fair it wasn't long ago that a 3rd/4th choice striker {DB} was signed as a free agent and made best paid player in the club.

What people are forgetting is the add ons that may exist in the contract, they can be significant just look at the USA mens and womens teams.

Chiedozie Ogbene on £1,500 a week? If true his wage needs looking at before his head is turned by someone paying more. Yes he's out til January but, once fit and he's tearing up those wings again, he will be spotted and they will come calling. Teams like Forest, Derby even Boro would find it laughable to only have to offer him say 6k a week to get his attention.

Yes indeed Brin and that’s the scandal

We stay within a budget so only pay wages that we can afford, whereas other clubs pay higher wages that they can’t afford and get the player.

I agree. Those figures are probably published as a diversion for the taxman (allegedly).
