Thread: Can't Say I'm Happy About The Mowatt Situation

I agree with these sentiments by Perky tyke. The head coach wanted to keep him as he is still worried about reaching 50 points ( 2 points from the last 5 matches) and the board have backed him and have given up a potential income 0f £1m in doing so. What's wrong with that?

Because we won't go down without Mowatt in my opinion and we are a million quid short in next season's budget , a modest budget entering in to a new championship season with everyone on zero points .

That's just my view Mike .

My play would have been to move Mowatt on , bring the lad Pickering in from Crewe who is a left wing back and put Styles in Mowatt's central midfield role and we'd still be up £350k .

As things stand , Pickering is at Blackburn , Mowatt's running his contract down and as a consequence we're a million quid down in the budget on recruitment in the summer when we could be £350k up .

Just how I see it with regards to my own opinion and the clubs own model .

Not saying I'm right Mike mind you .
