Best side lost, most clinical side won
My main feeling after that game is frustration. We could easily have been 3 up before they scored that sucker punch opening goal but that happens so often to teams who don't take their chances.
A well worked equaliser and then we threw it all away by leaving a runner totally unchecked to plant a free header past our keeper.
Plenty of huff and puff after that but too many misplaced passes although obviously the dreadful conditions didn't help. Same for both sides though.
A couple of decent penalty shouts but that referee was never going to give us anything. I don't normally criticise referees very much but he was poor.
Nothing wrong with the effort tonight and we didn't get what we deserved but you could argue we got more than we deserved last Saturday.
Let's not get downhearted and hope we can get back on track against QPR.
The snow was half an hour too late.
We met our match today. They were bigger and more physical than us and out muscled us. In saying that we should have had at least 2 pens plus some of the offsides missed by the officials were scandalous.
Ive come to accept that the refs in this league will be wa nk and it is really like playing 12 men every week.
Deserved a point but showed enough we can still stop up if we carry on putting this sort of effort in.
..and at least Kieffer and Vaulks didnt score to rub it in.
probably the worse game of the beautiful game ever i've seen. Defence absent for 1st goal, where was the last defender??? Victor started to come then stayed on his 6yrd line and made it easy for Ojo.
Nice passage of play and a great goal worked by us and finished by Crookes.
The game then went down hill into a farce.....Cardiff put a great cross in and bang........
I couldn't see the ball in the last 15mins.
Referee......Elteringham is in the same class of just going thro the motion and not giving any difficult decisions, same group as Salisbury, Gavin Ward and Eddie Idliton(?)....just refereeing by numbers......w*nkers. I feared the worse when i saw who the ref was.
Think I have seen it . Johanson's one hander from close range tonight.
Name me one better than that?
Outstanding. Was worthy of a point on its own.
And the ref is probably the worst I’ve ever seen. That push on Smith first half....absolutely disgraceful. Ref looked straight at it and did nothing.
Even worse news......Lindsay out for 8 weeks. Big blow.
