    Compulsive viewing for me and ‘she who must be obeyed’ Telly on at 6.30ish am.
    At least we saw Moeen having a go !

    I was initially quite excited by the addition of Archer to the test squad as having a 90mph+ bowler really adds something to a side. As mentioned, though, he regularly fails to top that 90 mph threshold and he doesn’t move the ball anywhere near as much as Anderson and Broad. Woakes is a far better bowler than Archer and shows a lot more application with the bat. To me, Archer comes across as a player that feels he has an entitlement to inclusion in the team.

    Absolutely right...sadly. He was much better when a newbie trying to earn his place.

    I'm confident England's cricket this year is all about winning back The Ashes. Problem with Woakes is were as his average in England is low 20's his average in Australia is over 50.

    Fast bowler with opposite stats is Mark Wood who averages over 40 at home and under 20 away.

    Yes, Mark Wood may be ideal in Australia with the hard, fast pitches. Archer should also be good there but he doesn’t seem to always put the effort in, just my perception of course, Wood always seems to be 100%.
