Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, intelligence is not.

Is this thread to balance out the previous ill thought views about black women? I know Mick you’re probably fuming reading this and it’s not an attack on you. But as cynic, it got me thinking.

That said, colour and level of darkness is something amongst ethnic groups when describing beauty in people that have been controversial. I wonder if some of the women selected here favoured most are those of lighter skin than someone of darker skin? I myself might be sounding racist here but fear not. I find beauty in an individual face features, smile eyes nose etc. I’ve always thought there are better looking black girls than Naomi Campbell. I think Dina Asher Smith is attractive and is darker skin and many celebrity african americans are. There are loads.
But one of my fav would be our fellow brit, Gugu Mbatha-Raw.
I thought the other Darren ( Purse ) was dim as well, also Jonathan Greening. But as far as I recall they weren't black.
Intelligence has nothing to do with a person's colour unless you are telling me otherwise.

It has nothing to do with a persons colour, but you and others have a habit of using particular terms for black people and you don’t realise it when you do it. To you, black people are referred to as donkeys and dim.. don’t give me that b***** all of a sudden you’ve used these terms on Pursey and Greening. Back on that topic about being DM being Dim, he and those players you refer to earn more money than you don’t they? These Dim people are laughing all the way to the bank as you call them these names. It’s easy to call them these names behind a keyboard eh 55, why don’t you be so insulting to someone face to face?

I remember commenting on here about both Regis.
I remember saying that Purse was unusual because most people aren't as thick as they look.
And Greening thought the sun in the Mediterranean was different to the one over here.
I am a Mickey taker and it's all tongue in cheek with me.
But you probably missed the post's because they didn't fit your agenda.

You really think i’m following some sort of agenda? Then you are mistaken.
Okay, fair enough you’ve taken the mickey. We all do.
I’ve been lucky enough to have met Darren Moore and funny you mention Pursey. I once bumped into Pursey in a TGIs in Cardiff (when he was playing for them after us). From the minute or two i’d spoken to him he came across as a decent person. I made it well clear to him I was a baggies fan. Anyway to cut a long story short, after his meal with his family, just as he was about to leave he turned to me and said ‘we’ve got you in a fortnight haven’t we?’ and smirked as he walked off out and I obviously laughed and remarked, ‘yes we have’.
Anyway, the whole point of this, is this - i’m not going to call him dim after him coming across as a humble guy, as that be two faced. I’d have something wrong in my life to behave that way. Would Pursey care? of course not. But it still doesn’t mean we have to use these terms on players, one minute we are idolising them as heroes in the pitch next minute we call them everything under the sun. it’s not something i’d raise my children to be like.

This thread has become high jacked for absolutely no good reason.

To now be accused of only being attracted to paler black people just proves the point.

You can make anything fit a personal agenda if you want to to in life.

It’s becoming impossible to say anything on here without getting jumped on by a small number of people.

I hope you’re all enjoying your day.

One should not mention small and people in the same sentence. (Said as a tongue in cheek comment and meant as banter. No offence intended).

I'm just stunned to read the suggestion there may be somebody out there who idolised Darren Purse for his ability as a football player.

And as for Jonathan Greening he revels in the description of him being the thickest footballer to have ever drawn breath.

Let it never be forgotten he once tried to hang a mirror to a wall by hammering a nail straight through the glass.

His bank balance is more indicative of his abilities as a footballer than a reflection of his intelligence.

Lovely fella though as is Darren Moore, another thoroughly decent former Albion player I've met.

Modern day heroes for me as opposed to the often trotted descriptor of legends.

As for black women, I've never dated one but I've certainly shagged a few. S e xual attraction is a black and white issue, you fancy someone or you don't.
