Funnily enough, Tarquin tried this a few years back, and I was the person he blocked. The funny thing is that he often used to comment about my posts even though he shouldn't have read them!

If a poster you haven't blocked, quotes a poster that you have blocked. I wonder if you can see the quoted text?

Well I certainly wasn't expecting all this kerfuffle from a harmless post.

In no particular order

CamPie you got one bit bang on, but were way off with another. It doesn't matter how many times Elite uses the words "we" and "us" etc as you rightly pointed out nobody really cares, except him clearly.

But I'm afraid you've been duped if you think I want to stop discussion, debates and even arguments on NCM, quite the opposite. That's what I want, and enjoy about NCM. The bit you mentioned about needless abuse is the key part of the mission. The silver lining is as you pointed out the handbags thread seems to be working a treat recently, much reduced bickering until EPs post last night.

Elite, this is now about the 34th time that someone else has informed and reminded you that others don't care. How many more will it take? If as you say you "do care" then PM and I can fill in the gaps. That suits everyone, I can answer your questions, you can get your fix and everyone who doesn't care is happy. What's not to like?

QLD, tbh I take offence at that post "prats" as you call them like Ayeayeskipper and Pedro need next to no assistance getting banned on here. It's not my fault they are so thin skinned to get so wound up over so very little. They both need a mirror if they want to see the problem. I believe it's the Aussies who say if you start a water fight expect to get wet.

Where is winding up on this post? It's just one person who's stirred it up with their response. Needless once again , and something that could as easily been via PM

The only people who I want see banned are the ones who deserve it, the ones who get given countless chances, numerous warnings which they choose to ignore and seem to actively aim to get banned. As was mentioned before you've got something seriously wrong if you are getting banned on NCM by a very lenient mod in Swale.

As for your suggestion, I totally agree , I'm all for it. In fact it's something I've offered to Elite two or three times before for all to see but he has absolutely no desire to ignore or be ignored. Tbh having viewed his lengthy past on here over the years I'm not surprised , nobody should be lol. At the end of the day it's his choice so fair enough.

But it's the obvious solution.

Unsurprisingly the #mission isn't anywhere near as important obviously as football's media #blackout which is the whole point of this thread. Let's try not to lose sight of that, and try and concentrate on the 'bigger picture.

I'm gonna see what the 3 day blackout looks like and comment afterwards. Should be a good debate unlike the above

So yet again, lots and lots of repetitive drivel but no answer at all to the question of what your 'mission' actually entails. You keep mentioning it, but you won't tell anyone what it is. On this thread alone a couple have told you that a self-appointed missionary isn't wanted or needed. A good moderator is all that's required, and that's already sorted.

If you insist on carrying on with your 'mission' to change the board, the least you should do is declare what it is and ask if it's wanted.

I'm a tech luddite too, I had no idea you could do that. Although it was only this season I discovered PMs, so not much of a surprise lol.

An ignore/block list if used will work wonders for all involved. Marvellous, no excuses now.

Does make me wonder why has this not been mentioned before by the frustrated, annoyed and fed up observers who simply 'don't care'.

I wonder if the two currently banned knew about this option? If they did and had chosen to use it they wouldn't get so needlessly worked up and subsequently sent to the naughty step.

[By the way, what do we all think about the idea of a special dedicated thread in the same vein as the luggage room specifically for debating the pros and cons of laddo's mission?
