A very well done to them, thoroughly deserved as the league table doesn’t lie over 40 plus games. Obviously signed really well, one of the lads from Millwall I think on loan has been really good.

The season is a marathon not a sprint and Sutton thoroughly deserve their promotion and title win. For a neutral and football romance it’s always good to see clubs getting into the football league who have not been in it before. Last season Harrogate (at our expense) and this year Sutton.

We should not begrudge them or be envious and should not insult them or disrespect them due to their size. They have deserved it, earned it and have obviously made the best of the resources they have had at their disposal. They give hope to other non-league clubs that the football league is not beyond their reach.

Likewise it should be motivation for ex league clubs like ours and sends a message that you can’t just expect to come into this league and walk it based on past history. It’s a very competitive league and you’ve got to be very good and consistent against the lesser teams if you want to stand any chance of winning the title. That’s a harsh lesson this season has taught us.

100% agree, you need a tight knit squad against all odds to sometimes win leagues especially in lower divisions, Warnock has always done that, we benefited many years ago. We need to forget our history, forget our big stadium and realise the last 2 teams that have won it have done this.

I'm gutted I started this now. Was in a bad mood watching a team that we've beat twice win the league on a relatively low points tally.

I did say they deserved it though. Which they did.

Its not that small a total they could have 87 points after 42 games.

Add the extra 4 games on for Dover/Maccy its close to 100 if they win em.

Dont worry about posting this we all understand you these are as non league as it gets but they have done a great job.

He was the man who has hamstrung this club since relegating us.Just have a look at what IB has done with the same players.Remember fans sticking up for Ardley saying we lost Robert's and Thomas as defence to why we cant score many
Same team same players infact one less forward sent back and we are scoring for fun and missing many more.we were lucky to create a couple of chances when Ardleyball was on show.
Strange world, funny old game isn't it.
I'm sure you have a great reason (excuse)for the change in fortunes that has nothing to do with Ardleys frailties...
I'm afraid he has to be the yardstick or barometer as he was the last incumbent whether you like it or not...!
Toupe or not toupe that is the question.?x

So you can win the league without a parachute payment, or any financial advantage like Sutton and Barrow both have? Well who would have thought it?! I'm shocked.

Maybe having an expensively assembled squad, large stadium and lots of history doesn't mean as much as some fans think at this level.

    Discuss.

Whatever your stadium, history, or how much you spend on your squad doesn't put a single point on the board. Results do that. Recruitment is King, both manager and players, that's why Ardley had to go.
