This is what the season boils down to, we need to be positive with a winning mentality , its the belief that transfers into to the play
And we may need some luck too as it's the playoffs and it's a lottery and only lucky teams and managers get promoted via the playoffs

On a slightly more serious note I hope to be Choo Choo'ing later on today with the #burchnallbandwagon posse

My first game since the Eastleigh one last year, and the first one in sitting the JS stand for god knows how long.

Playoff games are never enjoyable unless you’re at least 3 goals up with 10 to go and even then I’d be worried. Please, no crap refereeing decisions today, unless they’re in our favour.

I’ve managed to ignore the build up to the game all week but now I’m feeling pretty sick. Really hoping we win...but promotion would still feel a million miles away if we did. If I’m this nervous about an eliminator I dread to think what it’d be like if we made the final.

In my experience there’s no worse game to lose than a play off final.

Been reading on Chessie's board that they have a secret weapon. Apparently the 2 Chesterfield Wing Backs can easily lure a team into their 'comfort zone'.

I slated Notts in a post earlier in the season but have been really impressed with IB since he got his teeth into the squad. I think that we now have a distinct attacking style that is great to watch, if we can finish the chances we WILL create we will have no issues. Well done IB and the team for turning things round and good luck for the next 3 games

No not at all mate. Don't wish any misfortune on Notts county. My godfather was a Notts fan.

It's our best away day. Rather Notts in the league than Torquay. We can discuss this once you've beaten chesterfield.

There you go Laddo, that was the luck i was talking about, the Chesterfield goal keeper becoming injured

I felt Notts were poor defensively, their first goal should have never been, silly shove to give away free kick, where was the wall, and slocombe should of saved it, their second was 5 notts defenders , when it came into our half, not one of them closed chesterfield down, and allowed the cross into the area
IB has siad he is aware of this, and will be working on it during the week

None the less it was very satisfying to finally win, Slocombe, was excellent in the second half, and notts showed immense character to come from being behind twice
Days like these make you proud to be a Notts fan

Hopefully we can continue at Torquay, come on County

I was taking the Michael Davy as I'm sure you know. There is luck and bad luck in every single football match. That's a fact.

Chesterfield were unlucky with injuries but that's it. Very good second goal, lucky first should have been saved like you said.

We made our own luck for first, and scored off two set pieces. We were positive, on the front foot, attacked throughout and deservedly won.

Character and belief was as important if not more important than luck today.

Can we get lucky at Torquay especially as they finished so far ahead of us?

    We will see
