Talented footballer, but still gives me the impression he plays on a wing and a prayer, head down, run at them, sometimes it comes off, more often it doesn't. If only he had a brain.

He must be a nightmare to play against.

Always hard to defend against a player who has no idea himself what he's going to do next. It's no secret, Sterling will tell you himself, when Pep arrived at City, he spent hours on the training ground with Raheem, trying to coach some footballing nous into him. He's improved him certainly, but I don't think he's altogether succeeded, although I will admit, on balance, I'd rather have him playing for us than against us.

I can see him darting in between the two aging Italian giant centre backs and getting another penalty or a goal.

If Kane has any sense he will drop deep and keep away from Chiellini.

Where was he when England needed him, absolutely inconsequential, like playing with ten men and he didn't even take a penalty. World class my arse.

Cometh the hour cometh the man. Sadly, the wee man failed, the Italians had his measure and his lack of cojones for the big occasions is the reason Pep leaves him on the bench.

He let a nation down last night, get up off your f*cking knee and grow a pair Raheem.

Knee jerk reaction BT ( did you like that little pun )
I’d be looking elsewhere to blame if I’m honest he’s carried us in the last games but the service to him was better , be honest they old manned us- him and ran all over our defensive shambles , we started with width and aggression and ended two banks of 4 defending for most it , players like Raheem need us to have the ball a lot not be chasing it a lot , and that’s why he becomes in effective in games.

Southgate blew it, we know he is a no cojones sort of guy.. Sterling did not have the cojones as a senior player to stand up and take a penalty. The Italians had balls, we didn't. We lost, they won.
