I have it on good authority from someone that has trained him, that this lad will go all the way to the Premiership he is simply that good. We have no hopes of holding onto him once he develops through his playing time and career and gets going.
Brin, the only way PW will play Jake Cooper is if he's unable to sign another defender and he's forced into playing him.

You're asking a lot of a young lad that's not played a League game.
If he played him the first mistake he made certain sections of the fans would be writing him off as useless.
Fully expect the right back to sign...eventually.
It's looking like a make do, mix and match defence, midfield is fine and so is attack. ( all depends if anyone else departs.)

We'll be due some compensation money if he's injured on International duty?

But it says it all, we chased him for ages, signed him with hip problem(surgery), played well for Wigan and now...............??????

Like i've said before about Scotty, if they won't back his judgement then what's here doing here?
Next vacancy advert coming up to go with all the rest recently........have we got a problem behind the closed doors????

Casper, no disrespect pal you’re a good friend but, I’m sick of hearing of ‘ we’re asking a lot of a lad who’s not played a league game’ How old was Rooney or Michael Owen when they cut their League teeth and in the Prem of all leagues?

If any player wants to stand tall and make it onto the professional ladder, then no matter what age they are they have to be brave and step in and step up or forever be wannabes. 18 year old is about the starting age for any young player wanting to get into a full league debut, some even younger.

It’s all about the Manager having the gonads to do it and support a player along the way in their fledgling career. As for fools having a go if he makes a mistake, he has to grow fast and ignore the idiots and look to build on his mistakes and mature quickly.

Farrend Rawson was only 18 when he came on loan.

Good luck to Angus, hope it's nothing serious.

Anyone else think we're in the crap, another Centre - Back required asap !!
I’m assuming Tilt was injured during reggae boyz (however they spell it) or he’s done it on his home training.

Get Cooper in, imo he can do a job now

    You're missing the point Brin.
I said " PW won't play him unless he can't sign another Centre - Back "
Personally I would have Cooper and Kayode as part of the squad, unfortunately I'm not the manager and don't have any qualifications.
You can't compare Cooper to Owen or Rooney if Cooper was the same quality as both of them he wouldn't be playing for us.
By all means give youth a chance however if you think our players and the Academy is anywhere near as good as the mid 1970's then you're mistaken.
Kevin Watson was hounded out of our club, other young players also got abuse, it's not the best approach to get the best out of players.

PW isn't the type to take risks, so playing any of the youngsters would have to be a "no choice" scenario

I suspect though that we will be playing many clubs where their managers are risking it.

We won't need another CB Frank, hell just play Wiles there, or anywhere else he's needed, and whilst I see your point about PW not risking young Cooper, I personally agree with Brin, and the manager needs to show some balls and give the lad a chance to prove himself. UTM

I've said since I saw Cooper play 2 seasons ago for us he needs game time with us. League 1 why not? Kayode same. Warney surprised me getting shut of his mate S Mac so he might have got the message young players need bringing through.
