I've been dipping into a couple of Susie Dent's (of Countdown fame) books here and I suspect the etymology of "Toodle Pip" is fairly obscure (military?).

Anyway, I won't be jumping all over this new offering, but cryptocurrencies are here to stay. Taken to the extreme, all currencies ultimately have trust issues and this new stuff is really no different.

I have to confess to owning some cryptocurrency, but all I've done to date is simply buy and sell it for "harder" currency based on the weird and wild fluctuations it has been experiencing.

Not entirely unlike trading stocks, but I have some concerns about how the IRS (the US equivalent of the Inland Revenue) regard such transactions when I get to fill out my dreaded 1040 at the end of the year.

Don't think the club should promote it but as a personal choice when I was looking for an investment deal my Dad used crypto for me.

1 in 10 people now in the UK have exposure to cryptos and I was one after I sold my flat in England for a short while until I settled in France and obtained residency.
My Dad made full use of the UK Tax systems Annual Exemption Allowance with crypto gains & losses for me at that time of form filling so don't waste that allowance.

Suspect IRS are now chasing after Cryptos currency as well reading this.
