I just fancy Chesterfield now, good manager, good squad, and top players such as Asante, Tshimanga, Miller, plus all the others they signed. I think they’ll win comfortably actually.
Is he a good manager? Seems a lot of the players who work with him can't wait to get out of there?

From what I can gather, he has a very high opinion of himself and if a better offer came along he would prob jump ship, no bother. They'd still have a decent squad though, whoever took over. Play-Offs it is then,

There’s something about him that gets results I think, he had success at a lower level and has done really well with Chesterfield so far. Maybe something of a Steve Evans, not popular or even long term perhaps...but still someone who gets results.

If Chesterfield are doing well come Christmas will he be loyal if a league club come a knocking?

Jack Clarke looked impressive for them last season too. Think Miller was a good signing and personally would prefer either of those two than Tshimanga.

Miller looks a much better player than Taylor that's for sure.

Poorly formatted and stolen from another website. It shows his goals home and away last year with pens in brackets. In cricket parlance, that is a flat track bully if I ever saw one!

Of his 12 goals from open play, only 3 came against sides in the top half, in fact all other 9 pretty much was against the semi pro teams sitting in the bottom quarter.

Ooft, more than half his goals scored against the bottom five. That’s the kind of stuff (and my penalty thing) that we’re going to be looking at and would stop us even thinking about dropping big money on him.

Yeah but he scored those playing for Boreham Wood...who finished 14th. Tshimanga has been a standout striker in none league for a few seasons now and has scored a lot of goals for poor teams. He is also only 24...one year older than Mitchell I think it's a great signing for Chesterfield that will cause real excitement amongst their fans.

And how many did our strikers score against the bottom 5 teams?!
