Ian Burchnall appears to be an intelligent, thoughtful and considered man. If he's can get us winning playing attractive and exciting football, well that's fantastic.

However, the only thing that matters in the end is promotion. Results are what he will be judged on, it's all that will be recorded for posterity. Just like Warnock.

That's right and no doubt he's fully aware that promotion is ultimate the only measure to his managerial success and he will be judged on his results. The nice football whilst he does his work just helps, and it's attractive to the paying public and therefore attendances won't suffer due to the style adopted.

If you compare his interviews with the recent past managers it's on a different level. He's actually worth listening to.

Burchnall did state in one of his interviews earlier this season that ultimately promotion will determine if the season is a success or not. He did suggest there were other considerations, but did not detract from promotion be the key measurement.

If we do get promoted this season playing the current brand of football it will be a great season supporting Notts - despite us being in the 5th tier.

I don’t have any concerns about is style of play. He’s demonstrated he his flexible and will adapt to the game situation. As a squad and style of play, we are at the beginning of the journey. The foundation is being laid, not just for this season, for many seasons to come. Yes there will be some challenges, particularly when the weather and pitch conditions deteriorate. I’m really excited of what we will look like in a couple months.

I really look forward to Match Days. Yes, I get anxious. But, I’m confident that Burchnall/this squad will do whatever possible to win the game. This time last season, we would have lost on Saturday.

I look forward to it. I go feeling confident we are going to attempt to win the game from the off. That's all I ask as a Notts fan. The respect the point dogsh!t when we found ourselves in the 5th tier was completely unacceptable to me.
