    I suspect Newcastle's owners will make a few token gestures to make people "feel safe" and it will soon blow over. Qatar will no doubt do the same. Wave a few rainbow flags about and the problem magically goes away.

    Of course they’ve sold their souls but that’s football, did we care where the Munto cash came from, did we care about Lee Hughes’s past, on the whole I imagine no.
    I listen to a lot of talksport, I’m a big fan of Simon Jordan, if you can past he’s a very posh southerner the guys very knowledgeable. He was asked about the lack of black managers, he disagreed there was prejudice and said if a chairman thought Bin Laden would win them football matches they would employ him, I don’t think I would argue with that.
